Organisation Outline:
The Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences at the University of Greenwich teaches, researches and consults across the whole spectrum of earth related
disciplines, from Human and Physical Geography to Geographical Information Systems, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science and Geology. Research interests within the Department range widely from: environmental conservation, urban planning, regional development, ecotourism, spatial
modelling and image processing; to volcanology, palaeontology, geochemical analysis, contaminated land remediation, and environmental assessment and
management. The Centre for Contaminated Land Remediation (CCLR), The Research and Consultancy arm of the Department, is dedicated to research, development and teaching
of science, engineering and technology related to contaminant immobilization and transport in soil, rock and water. With, to date, particular emphasis on
issues pertaining to contaminated land, the work of the Centre has attracted wide attention and funding from governmental, European and industrial sources. http://www.gre.ac.uk/schools/nri/earth ...
